TECHNICAL DETAILS All our sails are an exemplar of durability, due to the sophisticated variety of fabrics and the accurate workmanship. The sail keeps its good look even after frequent use, due to reasonable features. You will see that these characteristics can't be taken for granted, by comparing our quality and our reinforcements of material with others.
IST
Our
unique double aspect
Integrated Sail Tie is now standard
on all 2005 sails. One
IST is situated within the foot of the Luff on each
side of the sail so you can roll the sail which ever way you are comfortable
with. |

 |
Reinforced Top Protection
Hard wearing reinforced coated material protects the sail top from wear and tear.
|
 |
X-ply Mix
Our sail designer Renato Morlotti pays special attention to the choice of the
right sail materials.
So every sail is constructed with a well thought out mixture of different kinds
of monofilm, X-ply and fabrics.

 |
ITB
Our patented ITB (Internal Trim Batten) system has become a standard feature of most sail manufacturers. It excels in an optimal trim, an improved aerodynamic in the leech and all battens can be kept tensioned all over the time.
|
 |
Cams
Our ball bearing cams facilitate smooth rotation. Our cams are especially designed in a variety of shapes, which results in an easy matching to differing mast diameters and luff tube dimensions.

| |
|
Mini Battens
Super lightweight mini battens, made out of several layers of monofilm, take control of the leech while twisting and avoid bothering leech fluttering. In this way, the window fabrics are spared and the longevity of the sail is predefined.
|
 |
SBS Symmetrical Batten System
At all camless sails the batten above the boom section is positioned on the opposite side of the sail. In this way, a well-balanced tension is achieved on both sides of the sail, especially on the area with the most profile.
| |
|
Wear Out
Small plastic caps on the end of the batten pockets avoid wear and abrasion whilst rigging.
|
|
Seam Protection
In all stressed zones of the foot, where the sails gets in contact with the board e.g. while waterstarting, the seams are additionally protected by a layer of
Dacron material.
| |
|
Clew
All sails are equipped with 2 clew eyelets for an optimal height adjustment.
|
|
Tack
The integrated mastfoot protection can be pulled back while rigging. Our wave sails and the
TSD are equipped with a low profile stainless steel low friction tack with 3 pulleys, and all other sails with an eyelet.

| |
|
Foot Reinforcement
PVC edging along the sail foot up to the clew prevents wear from abrasive decks. An additional protection for material and seams is wide webbing that is sewed up the edges.
