TECHNICAL DETAILS
All our sails are an exemplar of durability, due to the sophisticated variety of fabrics and the accurate workmanship. The sail keeps its good look even after frequent use, due to reasonable features. You will see that these characteristics can't be taken for granted, by comparing our quality and our reinforcements of material with others.
IST
Our
unique double aspect
Integrated Sail Tie
is now standard on all sails. One
IST is situated
within the foot of the Luff on each side of the sail so you can roll the sail
which ever way you are
comfortable
with. |

X-ply Mix
Our sail designer Renato Morlotti pays special attention to the choice of the
right sail materials to ensure the longevity of your sail.
For the 2006 line, we used two new x-ply versions, especially the large sail
windows are provided with close meshed material for even more durability.
Sails like the Hammer, Wave MC and Target that are significantly stressed, are
equipped with large insignia patches which are also part of the new,
characteristic design.

 |
Boom opening stiffener
Monofilm added to the mast sleeve of the boom opening
keeps it slightly opened for an easy threading of the mast into the luff pocket.
| |
 |
ITB
The new ITB (Internal Trim Batten) is now completely
integrated into the batten pocket. The aerodynamics of the leech are improved
and the battens can be kept tensioned in the sail all the time. The fine tuning
can be done with the enclosed hexagon key.
|
 |
Ball cams
For our camber sails, we use special ball or roller
bearing cambers for a soft rotation and easy mast insertion.
Each camber has a special shape and diameter, well-adapted for its position and
guarantees an optimum fitting.

| |
|
Mini Battens
Super lightweight mini battens, made out of several
layers of monofilm, take control of the leech while twisting and avoid
aggravating leech fluttering.
In this way, the window fabrics are spared and the longevity of the sail is
predefined.
|
 |
SBS Symmetrical Batten System
At all camless sails the batten above the boom section is
positioned on the opposite side of the sail. In this way, a well-balanced
tension is gained on both sides of the sail, especially on the area with the
most profile.
| |
|
Wear Out Stop
PVC tabs on the end of the batten pockets prevent wearing
out and abrasion whilst rigging.
|
|
Seam Protection
A continuous PVC edging from the leech up to the clew
protects your sail edge from abrasion while in contact with your board.
In addition to that, a special webbing is also sewn along the edges to spare the
monofilm material and the seams.
The seams in the upper sail parts are covered by an internal sewed dacron patch.
| |
|
Clew
The clew is especially reinforced, as it ranks to the
stressed zones, and is also protected with a PVC edging.
Our sails have either one, two or three clew eyelets, depending on the range of
use.
|

|
Tack
The new Thermofoam mast foot protector can be pulled back
while rigging. It offers best protection for the mast, as well as for the board
and the rider.
With the additional strap it is very easy to pull the sail over the mast.
The wave sails Hammer and Wave MC as well as the Mega X line are equipped with a
low profile triple pulley tack and all other models with an eyelet.

Rubber Top Protection
A solid rubber protection at the sail top avoids
abrasion.
Easy adjusting of the vario top is guaranteed by the special strap. A further
feature is the neoprene-covered buckle
