Why are Gun Masts so Competitive ?

Gun Sails offers a variety of high-quality carbon masts, so that you are able to bring out the best performance from your sail. The range consists of 31 different models that are 100 % compatible regarding the IMCS and constant curve to virtually all sails on the market.

Suitability
Gun Sails Masts are suitable for most
windsurfing sails regardless of manufacturer that require a constant Curve mast.

For the technically minded, our Constant Curve mast specification is: 76% top and 63% bottom.

Testing

This picture shows a testing of the
stability in the boom area.
Our research and development team in Tarifa is permanently checking the performance and durability of our masts in all kinds of conditions. By our high quality level of materials and workmanship, the best results in reflex and durableness are achieved.

Testing
Our masts are also especially reinforced  in the boom area and in other
stressed zones. Without any doubt: No matter which type you choose, whether all-round beginner mast or high performance Dominator, you will get a Top End Gun Sails product with a24 month warranty. All Gun Sails masts are produced with the standard reduced diameter. The base diameter of the bottom part is the standard (48.5 mm) for compatibility with all current extension systems (except our RDM models). The constant curve guarantees compatibility with all sails from other manufacturers. All masts have a specially reinforced boom area and consist of two pieces.

Quality Control by Gun Sails

A regular and accurate technical quality control of our masts is a matter of course for us.
The picture shows a Terminator C70 being set under an extreme load, where the bendcurve and capacity is checked. A Hydraulic compresses the clamped mast bottom-up.

The forces that are simulated during these tests are much higher than they usually appear during a normal use on the water, as you can clearly recognise on the picture.
