The Steel is a universal wave sail for
real wave sailors.
A well balanced shape, easy to control, a smooth release
of power, with fast reactions – these are the key
characteristics of the Steel.
Our new generation of wave sails make no distinction
between side and onshore conditions: The Steel is
designed to work in every wave venue, therefore the
construction and fittings of the sail are crucial
aspects. Every sail window is made from reinforced x-ply
materials, and the leech areas are a lamination of two
reinforced layers.
Potential stressed zones are protected by seam covers or
rubber edges and double seams secure all the stressed
panels.
The Steel offers a very individual trim thanks to its
two clew eyelets which allow you to adjust to the
differing conditions and venues. Depending on the sail
size, the boom length can vary up to 5 cm. Using the
upper eyelet, the Steel feels more powerful and more
direct combined with more planing power. Using the lower
eyelet, the sail will feel more compact, the leech will
twist a bit more and the control in higher winds is
extended.
