But, the extremely fast sail still feels light and neutral in the hands – what
more do you want, freerider ?
OK, some cuts of course have to be taken in terms of manoeuvre-handling.
Compared to other camberless sails – as well as the profile equipped competitors
– the Gun Sails Tempo jerks not too bad in the mast sleeve. In jibes you can
easily feel, that this is a powerful freerace engine and not a freeride sail in
your hands. But, the Tempo excels in the performance valuation, showing top
performance characteristics and results and willingly revealing them.
The sportingly hard tightened profile provides a race feeling, the details of
the equipment are definitely designed for everyday-life.
The boom is very easy to assemble into the second mast gap, the vario-top allows
even longer masts (but not recommended!).
Result: The Tempo goes off just like a genuine freerace sail, light and
neutral, but not for manoeuvres.

Hoppla Schnäppchenjäger: Hier gibt’s ein richtiges „Tempo“ – Tuch zum
Discount Preis. Das verdammt schnelle Segel liegt dabei noch leicht und neutral
in der Hand – Freerider was willst Du mehr? Nun ja, zumindest beim
Manöverhandling muss man Abstriche in Kauf nehmen: Im Vergleich zu den
camberlosen Segeln, aber auch unter den profilbestückten Konkurrenten, ruckt es
beim Gun Sails Tempo ganz ordentlich in der Masttasche. In der Halse spürt man,
dass man einen leistungsstarken Freeridemotor und kein Freestylesegel in den
Händen hält. Doch in der Leistungswertung lässt das Tempo nichts anbrennen,
zeigt Top-Fahrleistungen und gibt diese willig preis.
Das sportlich hart gespannte Profil vermittelt einen Tick Racefeeling, die
Ausstattungsdetails geben sich betont alltagstauglich: In der weiten
Mastaussparung lässt sich die Gabel sehr leicht montieren, das Variotop erlaubt
auch längere Masten (grundsätzlich weniger zu empfehlen). Fazit: Beinahe wie ein
Freeracesegel rast das Tempo los, wirkt sehr leicht und neutral, nur als
Manöverspielzeug eignet es sich nicht.
